Camping: Stone Mountain Provincial Park

If you are seeking adventure along the Alaska Highway, there is perhaps no better place to set up camp, then Stone Mountain Provincial Park.
Located at the highest point in elevation on the entire highway, Summit Lake campground is situated perfectly at the doorstep of many of the parks great hiking trails.
The campground features twenty-eight campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, and fire ring.
The campsites are large enough to accommodate RV’s and holiday trailers, however there are no power, water, or sewer hook-ups available. If you are planning a stay at the Summit Lake Campground, be prepared for dry-camping.
The campground also features vault toilets, garbage disposal, park information, boat launch, and a day-use area. Firewood is also available for a fee.
There is a cash charge of $20 per night to stay at the Summit Lake Campground. The park is operated by the provincial parks operator in the area.
Stone Mountain Provincial Park is host to a variety of hiking trails, many of which begin from the campground. The area is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, photographers, and water sports such as canoeing or kayaking.
