Chetwynd
The Chetwynd Visitor Centre is conveniently located at 5400 North Access Road and has ample parking for visitors. Knowledgeable cousellors have information on the community, region, province and can provide you with a wide selection of brochures and maps. The Chetwynd Visitor Centre is within walking distance of many chainsaw carvings including the annual competition carvings. Dawson Creek
Start your Alaska Highway journey here. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you plan your stay in our community and your trip and provide you with the latest in road and weather reports, maps and brochures. Housed in the original 1931 Northern Alberta Railway (NAR) Station Museum, the Visitor Centre is located at 900 Alaska Avenue in NAR Park, offering plenty of parking, the famous Mile 0 Cairn and Grain Elevator Art Gallery. Fort Nelson
Located on the west side of the recreation complex within easy walking distance of Art Frazer Park, the Rotary Spray Park and Fort Nelson Museum, the Visitor Centre offers free wireless internet (WiFi) service, coffee and a selection of souvenirs and local artists work. Fort Nelson is the Gateway to the Serengeti of the North. Visitor Centre staff are friendly, knowledgeable and truly look forward to your visit. Fort St. John
Features a souvenir shop, WiFi access, lounge area with water cooler, up-to-date road, weather and event information year-round, public washrooms as well as brochures. We are located in the newest recreation facility, the Pomeroy Sport Centre. This building features a free walking track, speed skating oval and two professional hockey-size rinks. We are located across from a mall and adjacent to an indoor swimming facility. There are numerous pull-through spots for RV parking. We are one block north of the famous Alaska Highway. Hudson’s Hope
You are going to love our log building located on the main highway. A stunning view of the Peace River and valley are just steps away. The Centre sits in Beattie Park and has washrooms, playground, gazebo and picnic area. For address and contact information, click here.
Pouce Coupe
The Pouce Coupe Museum is proud to display its long and diverse history by incorporating four buildings into its tour! Join us on a journey through time as we weave through the Heritage House, Trapper’s Cabin, Caboose and the original NAR Train Station. With items on display from every aspect of an early settler’s life, you will enjoy the sites of a homestead, doctor’s office, church, schoolroom and general store. Everything on display at the museum is locally donated and many of our artifacts date back to 1889 when the first settler in our area filed a homestead claim. Taylor
Mile 35 – a must-stop for any traveller! But you don’t have to be only a visitor to come to the Taylor Visitor Information Centre. Visitors and residents alike will be treated as a guest of honour by our friendly and dynamic duo Rita and Juanita! Stop in and ask questions. And don’t forget to buy Juanita’s homemade jam! Tumbler Ridge
Open year-round and located conveniently in the downtown core in Tumbler Ridge, the Visitor Information Centre is an ideal meeting place for visitors. Knowledgeable counsellors provide information on 47 hiking trails, 30 waterfalls, outdoor, back-country wilderness recreation and trips to our world-famous dinosaur trackways. Tumbler Ridge is an outdoor adventurer’s playground with exciting riverboat tours, ice climbing, snowmobiling, rock climbing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, swimming, ATVing, camping, fishing, wind turbine drives, museum tours, and much more all located in the area.
